Lamer stands out as Tigers compete in Dennis Young Classic
STORM LAKE, Iowa- Junior Kamber Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) had a record setting day as the Dakota Wesleyan University track and field teams competed at the Dennis Young Classic in Storm Lake, Iowa over the weekend.

Lamer set a school record and placed second in the Pentathlon tallying 3,267 points, while tying a school record and placing first in the long jump with a leap of 17-11.5 feet, qualifying for the NAIA National Indoor Meet. She also placed first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 9.37 seconds and grabbed another first-place finish in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:32.93.
Samantha Schuyler (Winner, S.D.) came in first place in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:44.03. She also took fifth in the mile run with a time of 5:46.50, while Kelsie King (Mission Viejo, Calif.) finished in eighth place with a time of 5:51.61.
Callie Heath (Colome, S.D.) finished with a fifth-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 31-6.5, and also a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 1:44.03. Lydia Gerber (Canton, S.D.) took 10th in the long jump, with a jump of 13-8.75.
Kristen Longville (Lake Preston, S.D.) finished first in the triple jump, with a jump of 34-2. Clarie Stoller (Madison, S.D.), finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 33-3.25 and had a fifth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 15-1.5.
Dakota Bodden (Tyndall, S.D.) posted a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.01. Lane Tibbs (Kenesaw, Neb.) placed 11th with a time of 4:45.35 in the mile run. Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) placed fourth in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:01.79
At the Concordia Classic in Seward, Neb., Tyson Jenkins (Clark, S.D.) finished third in the shot put with a throw of 54-5.5, while also placing ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 52-1.75. Freshman Madison Witte (Huron, S.D.) placed 16th in the weight throw with a throw of 44-7.5.
The Tigers will compete in the DWU Alumni Open on Saturday at the DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex in Mitchell, S.D.
