DWU competes at SDSU Classic
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s track and field teams competed against some of the best competition in the area as they participated in the SDSU Classic Friday and Saturday in Brookings, S.D.

Madison Witte (Huron, S.D.) finished with a 31st-place finish for the Tigers in the shot put with a mark of 37-6 feet. Lydia Gerber (Canton, S.D.) notched a 26th-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 16-5.75.
In the women's triple jump, Gerber came in 29th place with a jump of 33-2, while Claire Stoller (Madison, S.D.) finished in 30th place after a mark of 33-1.75. Samantha Schuyler (Winner, S.D.) came in 35th place in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:43.04.
For the men, Jared Rabenberg (Britton, S.D.) grabbed a 10th-place finish in the high jump with a jump of 6-4.75 and came in 29th in the long jump after a mark of 20-7.25.
Tyson Jenkins (Clark, S.D.) had an impressive weekend as he tallied a fourth-place finish in the shot put after a toss of 56-2.50, while recording a 23rd-place finish in the weight throw with a throw of 53-3. Caden Milmine (Buffalo, Wyo.) added a 32nd-place finish with a mark of 45-10.
Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) notched a 23rd-place finish in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:24.57, as Lane Tibbs (Kenesaw, Neb.) came in 46th in the 5,000-meter run in 16:24.34.
The men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the GPAC Championships Friday and Saturday in Crete and Lincoln, Neb.
