Tigers compete at Mount Marty Invite
YANKTON, S.D. – Competing at the host site for the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships in two weeks, the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s cross-country teams laced it up and raced against 13 other teams on Saturday from the Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D.

The women took 11th with a total time of 1:45:41. Leading the way for the Tiger women was freshman Tessa Kilber (Ipswich, S.D.) who took 30th after clocking a time of 19:54.9 minutes.
Coming in second for DWU was Delanie Larson (Gettysburg, S.D.) who placed 73rd in 21:14.2. Freshman Morgan Oedekoven (Pierre, S.D.) finished in 82nd after crossing the finish line in 21:24.9, while Annika Vermeulen (Mitchell, S.D.) was not far behind in 83rd place with a time of 21:25.2.
The next Tiger was senior Macey Bohl (Garretson, S.D.) who took 93rd after clocking a time of 21:42.1. Savannah Schmidt (Plankinton, S.D.) finished in 109th as she recorded a time of 22:20.1.
On the men's side, it was Wyatt Baldauf (Seneca, Ill.) who led the way as he came in 53rd after a time of 27:39. Justin Sorensen (Vermillion, S.D.) was not far behind as he finished in 61st after clocking 27:45.
Devin Rihanek (Plankinton, S.D.) checked in at 76th with a time of 28:15.6, as freshman Hunter Shanks (Bennington, Neb.) rounded out the group coming in 102nd in 29:22.1.
The Tigers compete again at the GPAC Championships on Nov. 7 in Yankton, S.D.
