DWU SID earns three national awards from CoSIDA
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University Sports Information Department was awarded two national awards and one regional award by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in its annual Publications & Design Contest.
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University Sports Information Department was awarded two national awards and one regional award by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in its annual Publications & Design Contest.
The DWU Sports Information Department, under the direction of Director of Sports Information Ian McClanahan, and the DWU Marketing Department, was awarded two 'Second in the Nation' awards along with a District 7 award.
The crew placed second in the Men's Basketball Media Guide contest, behind only NCAA Division II institution, Washburn University. They also took second in the Basketball Programs contest behind St. John's University (Minn.). In the Fall/Winter/Spring Posters contest, DWU took third in District 7 with its football schedule poster.
The contests consisted of 37 various competitions to be voted on from media guides and gameday programs to schedule posters and motion graphics. The divisions were divided into two groups with NCAA Division I in one group and NCAA Division II, III, NAIA, NJCAA and high school programs in the other group.
These are the first three awards McClanahan won in the CoSIDA Publications & Design Contest.
