DWU golf battles at Blue River Classic
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf team competed in the Blue River Classic and finished in eighth place on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Wilderness Ridge and Highland Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.

Four out of five Tiger golfers finished all within a stoke of each other, as Justice Morrison (Norris, S.D.) led the way after shooting a 73 in the second round to finish with a two-day total of 155. Right behind Morrison was freshman Bennett Lundy (Aberdeen, S.D.) who posted a two-day score of 156 after firing a 75 in the second round.
Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) tallied a two-day total of 157, while Ramsey Johnson (Aberdeen, S.D.) finished the tournament carding a 158. Rounding out the top-five for DWU was Tony Hayes (Sioux Falls, S.D.) who notched a two-day total of 172.
The Tigers will continue play at the Bethel Invite on Saturday and Sunday at the Hesston Country Club in Newton, Kan.
