Recap:
Dakota Wesleyan traveled to Concordia University in what was supposed to be a home game against the Lancers instead turned into a four hour road trip to play in chilly conditions in Seward, Neb. Alexander Mizsak got the nod for DWU and turned in another quality start going five innings, allowing three runs (two earned), four walks and two punchouts. Mizsak ran into early trouble in the first but worked out and kept the Lancers off the scoreboard. Mizsak tossed a clean inning in the second for a 0-0 score through two innings after quiet first two frames from the DWU bats.
The Lancers finally got to Mizsak posting one run in each of the next three innings for a 3-0 lead going to the bottom of the fifth. Alexander did a great job of minimizing the damage in the third when he faced bases loaded with nobody out. He induced a ground ball double play that scored the run and then got a fly out to end the threat. The lone run scored in the fourth inning was unearned and again in the fifth left runners in scoring position to minimize the Lancers damage and keep it close for the offense. DWU got on the board in the bottom of the fifth with pinch runner Landon Ruesink, who ran for Wyatt Hunt after his leadoff single, scoring on a wild pitch after advancing to second and third on back-to-back groundouts. Dakota Wesleyan faced a 3-1 deficit going to the sixth. The Tigers came up short on a comeback opportunity in the seventh getting two runners on and the go-ahead at the plate but leaving it there for a 3-1 final. Landon Waddell worked two strong innings in relief for Mizsak in the sixth and seventh punching out five Lancers in the process.

Recap:
Jacob Glovich got the start in game two for the Tigers and turned in his strongest outing of the season going seven innings, getting up one earned and recording three strikeouts. It wasn't enough as the Tiger offense struggled to get much going against Mount Marty starter, Clayton Chipchase for a 6-1 final. DWU did grab the first lead of the game in the bottom of the second inning when Daulton Wilcoxen led off the inning with a frozen rope double to left field that hit the bottom of the fence. Wilcoxen came around to score on Kostenbauer's single through the left side.
The Lancers tied it up in the third inning, but Glovich really limited the damage facing bases loaded with zero outs and only allowing one MMU runner to score, which was unearned due to a DWU error during the frame. Mount Marty added another run in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. Similar to last inning, Glovich faced bases loaded with nobody out and looking like the Lancers could put a big number on the board. Jacob again got tough and buckled down for his team only allowing the one Lancer to score to keep it close for his offense.
Glovich really found his groove on the mound posting zero's in the next three innings. After recording the third out in the seventh, that would be his final inning, Glovich was visibly fired up and trying to get his offense going in a 2-1 game going to the bottom of the seventh. DWU, facing a top-10 NAIA Lancer staff couldn't mount anything in the final three frames and MMU added four in the ninth for a 6-1 final.
Head-to-Head (Mount Marty):
- DWU is now 24-21 all-time against MMU.
- The Tigers are now 1-4 in the last five matchups with the Lancers.
