Kallan Herman chipped in with a jump shot before Lubbers collected on another basket for nine of the Tigers first 11 points in the game. Both teams went cold after that for over two-minutes when the Defenders made a jump shot followed by a three-point shot from Koln Oppold closing the margin to 17-14. Lubbers hit a three-point shot with 8:41 to play in the first half putting the Tigers within one point of tying the game at 23-22. After the first 20-minutes of play, DWU trailed DOR 44-32, shooting 34.2% from the floor, 23.5% beyond the arc, and going 2-of-3 at the foul line.
