Recap –
Dakota Wesleyan scored the first basket of the game with a Randy Rosenquist layup, the only lead the Tigers would have. The Jackrabbits would go on to score 10 unanswered points before a DWU timeout. DWU would be held their two points until the fourteenth minute when Ethan Determan would score a layup off an SDSU turnover. The Tigers struggled against the Jackrabbits big men in the paint as they grabbed multiple offensive boards over the Tigers. After clawing back from ten down, the DWU offense cut their opponents lead to just four points with eight minutes remaining in the first half, but the Jackrabbits would go on a 19-10 run to close the half. Tigers trailed 27-40 as they headed to the locker room.
In the second half, the Tigers looked to find the flow of their offense. DWU would score their first bucket in the second half from a Jakob Dobney three pointer. After this bucket, the Tigers would start making mass substitutions and look to run the Jackrabbits a little bit, keeping the score within twelve points for a majority of the half. Rosenquist continued with his normal performance, driving past the defenders for easy layups or hitting a quick cross over for the pull up jump shot at the elbow. Kaden Year and Determan would contribute eight points a piece of the bench in the loss for the Tigers and Dobney grabbed five steals on the other end of the court. The Jackrabbits would start to run away with their lead with five minutes remaining.
