TIGER MEN’S GOLF STAYS STEADY AT NINTH AFTER FINAL DAY OF BETHANY COLLEGE CLASSIC
Newton, Kan. – Dakota Wesleyan men's golf held a ninth overall on the second and final day of the classic at Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Carson VanBeek and Cody Cavanaugh both climbed in their final rounds improving their finish.

How It Happened
VanBeek as the top finisher for the Tigers posted a good first round yesterday carding par on half of the holes with one birdie on the 16th. Day two posted a much better score after a few extra strokes on hole one he was able to clean up his game; stringing multiple par shots together along with a pair of birdie shots as he carded a 78 on day two tying him for 38th place.
Cavanaugh also posted a better second round, cutting four strokes from his game after a rocky back nine in the first round. In the second round, he was able to card a pair of birdies on hole nine and 14 while keeping his double bogeys to a minimum only scribing two of them as he ties for 42nd place.
Dohrer and Bettcher played similar first and second rounds as they were both tied for 51st place after day two. Dohrer carded only two birdie shots between the two rounds and 15 par shots. Bettcher carded multiple double bogey or worse shots between his two days on the course but was able to mark three different birdie shots.
