DWU MEN’S GOLF BATTLES TOUGH COMPETITION
Salina, Kan. – Dakota Wesleyan men's golf had a strong first round from the Salina Country Club as a team. Through the three total rounds, the Tiger men's golf squad put up a 911.
How it Happened
Payton Phares led the team through the three rounds, shooting 72, 76, 77 in the three rounds for a total of 225 that tied him for 36th place. Cody Cavanaugh turned in a scorecard after the three rounds with a 233-stroke total as he placed 49th overall. Micah Dohrer claimed 50th place with a three-round total of 236. Peyton Bettcher was tied for 51st place after shooting at 241 between the three rounds.

Tiger Men's golf will have a couple weeks to regroup and prepare for the Whistling Straights Championship on October 17 and 18, hosted by Taylor University. The tournament will be held in Koelher, Wis. on the Whistling Straights golf course.
