Stofferahn and Milmine lead Tigers over weekend

Mikaela Stofferahn (Dell Rapids, S.D.) recorded a third-place finish in the shot put as she tallied a mark of 44-11.5 feet. She also finished the weekend with a ninth-place finish in the weight throw with a throw of 46-9.
Caden Milmine (Buffalo, Wyo.) also tallied a third-place finish in the men's shot put after a toss of 48-9. He also finished with a throw of 40-8.75 in the weight throw, good for a 19th-place finish.
Chris Zanotto (Blair, Neb.) was the other male thrower competing alongside Milmine. Zanotto came in 10th in the shot put with a mark of 42-8, while finishing in 11th in the weight throw after a throw of 46-6.25.
Freshmen Avany Long (Oacoma, S.D.) and Jocelyn Krouse (Montrose, S.D.) competed in the Pentathlon as they finished in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Long recorded her best finishes in the high jump and long jump with a third-place mark in each. In the high jump, she notched a leap of 4-6.25, while she tallied a jump of 16-9.25 in the long jump.
Krouse was not far behind as she recorded the same mark in the high jump as Long did, while taking fourth in the shot put and long jump.
The Tigers take off the next month as they compete again at the Dordt Open on Jan. 18 in Sioux Center, Iowa.
