DWU to host 2020 GPAC Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend
MITCHELL, S.D. – For the first time in Dakota Wesleyan University track and field history, the 2020 Great Plains Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held on the DWU campus in Mitchell. The meet takes place Friday and Saturday at the DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex.

The meet takes place Friday and Saturday at the DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex.
The Doane University men and Concordia University women are the defending champions, while the Concordia men and Hastings College women are the runners-up from last season.
The Outstanding Athlete-of-the-Year for the men was Levi Sudbeck from Doane, while Kamberlyn Lamer of Dakota Wesleyan took home the honors for the women.
Cody Williams of Concordia won the Most Valuable Field Performance-of-the-Meet for the men, while the 4x400-meter relay team of Mount Marty College won the Most Valuable Track Performance-of-the-Meet for the men. Lamer won the Most Valuable Field Performance-of-the-Meet for the women, as Briana Davis of the College of Saint Mary received the Most Valuable Track Performance-of-the-Meet.
This year's meet is a two-day event beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday with the multi-events. Saturday begins at 9 a.m. with multi-events, while the Championship field events begin at 10 a.m. The Championship running events start at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
