TIGERS DROP SINGLE NON-CONFERENCE GAME AGAINST TROJANS 12-6
Mitchell, S.D. – The Tigers dropped a single non-conference game against Dakota State 12-6. The Trojans outhit the Tigers 17-8 over the nine innings of play while both squads recorded one error. Jacob Glovich got the nod on the mound for DWU and ran into trouble early giving up five runs in the first inning. Glovich settled in the next inning posting a zero but then surrendered one run the next two innings of work for him. At the plate for the Tigers they were led by this weeks' GPAC Pitcher of the Week Seth Christiansen who went 2 for 4 with a home run, double, and a career-high four runs batted in. Lane Darrow was the other Tiger with a multi-hit game going 2 for 5 with two runs scored.
Dakota Wesleyan was able to get runners on throughout the game but struggled to keep pace with the high scoring Trojan offense. The Tigers posted two runs in the first, fifth, and eighth inning. DWU left 10 runners on base and recorded 14 strikeouts while punching out nine on the mound for themselves. The Tigers had four pitchers in relief combine for 5.2 innings, seven hits, five runs, and seven strikeouts.
