FREMONT, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team traveled south for a Great Plains Athletic Conference match up with Midland University, dropping a 2-0 contest on Saturday in Fremont, Neb.
Midland (9-4) scored a goal in the first and second half to put the Tigers away. Gemini Wesley (Sioux Falls, S.D.) recorded the lone shot for DWU. Senior Kira Miller (Rock Springs, Wyo.) tallied 11 saves in the net. The Warriors outshot the Tigers 29-1.
Midland freshman Nayeli Rodriguez broke a single-season record for total goals with 15.
The Tigers (0-11-1, 0-4-1 GPAC) continue GPAC play, taking on Briar Cliff University at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sioux City, Iowa.
