TRIO OF TIGERS RECEIVE ALL-GPAC ACCOLADES, BARDSLEY TABBED AS FIRST TEAM SELECTION
MITCHELL, S.D. – A trio of Dakota Wesleyan University women’s soccer players received Great Plains Athletic Conference accolades led by senior forward Jozy Bardsley, who collected her second-career All-GPAC First Team honor. Other Tigers to be named to the all-conference team were Senior Alondra Partida and junior Bailey Nester as both were tabbed with honorable mention distinctions.
MITCHELL, S.D. – A trio of Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer players received Great Plains Athletic Conference accolades led by senior forward Jozy Bardsley, who collected her second-career All-GPAC First Team recognition. Other Tigers to be named to the all-conference team were senior Alondra Partida and junior Bailey Nester as both were tabbed with honorable mention distinction.
Bardsley, who led the team in a plethora of offensive categories, paced Dakota Wesleyan with 14 goals on the season on 40 shots on goal. The Tea, S.D., native finished the 2021 campaign with a trio of multi-goal performances including a hat-trick versus in-state rival Mount Marty University. On the pitch, the Tiger forward wraps up her career with 33 career goals and 15 assists during her time at DWU.
Also receiving consecutive all-conference nods, Partida led the Blue and Gray with 10 assists on the year. The senior forward recorded a pair of performances in which she notched three assists tying a program record for assists in a single match. She concluded the season with five goals behind 58 shot attempts at the forward position while tallying 18 career goals and 13 assists.
At the defender position, Nester concludes her third season with the Dakota Wesleyan program by garnering her first all-conference accolade. The Hartford, S.D. junior was a key anchor for the Tiger defensive back line during the 2021 campaign as she helped lead DWU to six shutout victories while also striking a trio of shots on the season.
