DWU men’s golf closes season at GPAC No. 4
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf season came to a close at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Qualifier No. 4, hosted by Briar Cliff University Monday at Two Rivers Golf Course in North Sioux City, S.D.

The Tigers put together a strong round finishing in a tie for fifth on the day with Midland University, carding a team score of 297. The final GPAC round put DWU at a four-round score of 1,223 giving the Tigers a fifth-place overall finish, the best for DWU since 2012-13.
The Tigers were led by junior Thomas Hogg (Aberdeen, S.D.) who shot a 71, tying for the sixth-best round on the day. Hogg finished the four-round event with a total score of 298, finishing in fourth place and earning All-GPAC honors for the first time in his career.
Sophomore Russell Pick (Kimball, S.D.) turned in a strong performance in his last round of the year. Pick shot a 73, three over par on the 6,100-yard course.
Two DWU seniors played their final round in a Tiger uniform. Anthony Husher (Winner, S.D.) was four strokes better on the back nine and returned to the clubhouse after shooting a 76. Tyler Burr (Belle Fourche, S.D.) completed his Tiger career with a 77.
Northwestern College won the GPAC team title with a score of 1,196, while Midland University's Renen Sahr took top individual honors with a 290.
