Hogg, Husher named to All-GPAC Team

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's golf season recently came to a close with a fifth-place showing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference, the best for the program since 2012-13. The Tigers picked up a pair of awards released by the league Wednesday.
Junior Thomas Hogg (Aberdeen, S.D.) and senior Anthony Husher (Winner, S.D.) were named to the 2016 Men's Golf GPAC All-Conference Team. The award is the second for Hogg, who was also named an honorable mention in 2014, while Husher made the All-GPAC team for the first time.
Hogg finished the GPAC season in fourth-place on the overall leaderboard with a four-round total of 298, including a 71 in the final round of the event. Hogg finished his junior season with an average round score 74.75, including a low of 66 earlier in the spring at the Wild West Invite.
Husher closed the GPAC season in a tie for 18th place with a 311. He also shot a 66 at the Wild West Invite to tie Hogg for first place in the event as the Tigers set a new DWU 18-hole team score record of 277. Husher was also recently named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the first time in his career.
