TIGER VOLLEYBALL RANKS 15TH IN THE NATION IN NAIA PRESEASON POLL
Mitchell, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan volleyball is set to kick off the 2022 season on Aug. 18 from the campus of Keiser University in Florida. The NAIA released the preseason poll this morning, ranking the Tiger volleyball squad 15th in the nation after a 25-10 overall record just a season ago. Among other teams in the Top-25 include six GPAC foes with, No. 2 Jamestown, No. 5 Midland, No. 8 Northwestern, No. 11 Concordia, No. 18 Saint Mary, and No. 24 Dordt. Doane was also receiving votes in the first national poll of the 2022 season.
Head Coach Wilber stated on the national preseason rankings from the NAIA saying, "After having a successful 2021 season and making a run at the national tournament, the committee recognizes that we deserve to be in the top 15 in the preseason rankings. This is a first for our program to start the season as a nationally ranked team. We have had a great week of practice and will be tested out of the gate with our opponents in Florida."
