Omaha, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan (RV) volleyball team ended day two with a split 1-1 record resulting in them leaving Omaha with a 3-1 win-loss. The Tigers earned a 3-1 win against Benedictine. Ady Dwight was the star again in that one collecting 22 kills on 44 swings and only four attack errors for a .409 percentage. On the defensive side, Tya Weideman was the leader for her team and all over the place with 32 digs, just shy of her career-high of 37 set last week against Dakota State. The Tigers fell in three straight sets in game two to No. 14 ranked Ottawa University. DWU record sits at 8-5 heading into their GPAC schedule.

DWU won their first match of the day three sets to one against Benedictine College. The Tigers won the sets with a dominate 25-14 set one, 25-21, lost set three 26-24, and close it out in set four 25-21. Ady Dwight dominated from start to finish with her 22 kills and three blocks. In set one Dakota Wesleyan had 13 kills with only one lone attack error and had a .400 percentage. DWU held the Ravens to just a .118 percentage with their 10 kills and six errors. Set two the Tigers amped up the defense recording block after block, like they did all game with their 16 total blocks.
Set three DWU took a step back and struggled offensively with just a .102 attack percentage which was the lowest for the match. Dakota Wesleyan responded in set four with a game-high 18 kills in the set to put away Benedictine three set to one. Elizabeth Tyler came up just short of her third double-double of the season with a season-high 16 digs and nine kills. Dakota Wesleyan was all over it defensively having five players record double-digit digs in the contest with of course Weideman leading the way with her 32. Kayleigh Hybertson had it going with her 46 set assists in the match and sophomore, Emily Dale was a strong compliment to Dwight with her nine kills in the four-set match.
