Lamer wins MVP, Tigers compete at GPAC Championships
SEWARD, Neb. – Senior Kamber Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) was named the Female Great Plains Athletic Conference Athlete of the Meet as the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at the GPAC Championships Friday and Saturday in Seward, Neb.

Lamer recorded four top-five finishes over the weekend. She took first place in the triple jump with a mark of 39-5 feet, while placing first in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.92 seconds. She also took second in the long jump with a leap of 19-0.75. In the high jump, Lamer took fifth with a jump of 5-3.75.
Jared Rabenberg (Britton, S.D.) tallied a first-place finish in the high jump following a leap of 6-8.75. He also took fifth in the long jump with a mark of 22-6.5.
Tyson Jenkins (Clark, S.D.) was the third Tiger to win an event as he won the shot put with a throw of 56-3.25. He also took 10th in the weight throw with a toss of 53-9.75.
In the 800-meter run, Samantha Schuyler (Winner, S.D.) took seventh with a time of 2:29.36 minutes. Mckenna Rogers (Saint Michael, Minn.) took sixth in the 1,000-meter run in 3:10.95. Rogers also tallied a fourth-place finish in the mile run in 5:28.43.
Lia Guigui (Rapid City, S.D.) hit an 'A' Standard Mark in the high jump as she took fourth with a jump of 5-5. Lydia Gerber (Canton, S.D.) took fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 37-7.25. In the women's shot put, Mikaela Stofferahn (Dell Rapids, S.D.) placed sixth with a throw of 45-1.75.
Matthew Campbell (Gregory, S.D.) came in seventh place in the weight throw after a toss of 56-6.75. He also took third in the shot put with a throw of 52-8.
In the mile run, Brendan Langbehn (Lennox, S.D.) tallied a seventh-place finish in 4:41.21. Devin Rihanek (Plankinton, S.D.) took sixth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:02.75.
The Tigers compete next at the NAIA National Championships on March 1 and 2 in Brookings, S.D.
