Lamer, Stofferahn pace Tigers at Dordt Invite

Junior Mikaela Stofferahn (Dell Rapids, S.D.) won the women's shot put and automatically qualified for the women's national outdoor meet thanks to a final mark of 45-3.5 feet. She also placed second in the discus throw and automatically qualified for the national outdoor meet with a toss of 151-02. Senior Kamberlyn Lamer (Hartford, S.D.) guided the Tigers with a third-place finish and an automatic qualifying run in the 100-meter hurdles after a time of 14.51 seconds. She hit another automatic mark and took first in the long jump following a leap of 19-4, while placing first in the triple jump with a mark of 38-7.75.
Matthew Campbell (Gregory, S.D.) led the men's side as he provisionally qualified for the men's national outdoor meet with a first-place finish in the discus throw following a mark of 160-09 and tallied third place and an automatic mark in the shot put with a toss of 53-3.25. In the hammer throw, Campbell took fourth and provisionally qualified for the national meet thanks to a mark of 170-09.
Devin Rihanek (Plankinton, S.D.) took 16th in the 800-meter run in 2:02.10, while Rex Schlicht (Woonsocket, S.D.) took 17th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:02.19 minutes.
Jared Rabenberg (Britton, S.D.) provisionally qualified and placed second in the high jump thanks to a jump of 6-7.5 and took fifth in the long jump after a mark of 21-4. Mason Small (Huron, S.D.) placed 12th with a leap of 19-2. In the triple jump, Small took 10th thanks to a finish of 40-7.75.
Tyson Jenkins (Clark, S.D.) automatically qualified as he took second in the shot put with a throw of 52-8.25 and placed second in the hammer throw with a toss of 176-0, automatically qualifying in the event as well. Calob Jones (Aberdeen, S.D.) took 10th in the shot put after a throw of 46-0.
Freshman Emily McDonald (Crooks, S.D.) took 14th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.82. Lia Guigui (Rapid City, S.D.) placed seventh in the women's high jump with a leap of 5-0.25, while Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) tallied a ninth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 16-6. Lydia Gerber (Canton, S.D.) took 10th in the long jump with a leap of 16-4.5 and Kristen Longville (Lake Preston, S.D.) took 14th with a mark of 16-0.25.
Longville also notched a fourth-place mark in the triple jump following her leap of 34-11. Gerber joined Longville in the triple jump with a sixth-place finish and a mark of 34-6.25, while Claire Stoller (Madison, S.D.) took seventh and a leap of 34-2.25.
Madison Witte (Huron, S.D.) took fifth in the shot put after a throw of 40-6.25 and placed fifth in the hammer throw thanks to a toss of 127-07.
The Tigers compete next at the Sioux City Relays on Friday and Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa.
