Tigers complete historic round at Siouxland Invitational
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf team recorded the third-best round in school history on their way to tying for second place out of 14 teams at the Siouxland Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Sioux Center and Orange City, Iowa.

After the first day at The Ridge Golf Course in Sioux Center, Iowa, DWU sat in second place and just three strokes behind Morningside College. The second day was played at the Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa and the Tigers finished tied for second with Doane University.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) who carded a 70 and 71, as he tied for third place. Not far behind was Bennet Lundy (Aberdeen, S.D.) who tied for 10th with a two-day total of 145, while Justice Morrison (Norris, S.D.) tied for 13th after recording a 146 through two days.
Tony Hayes (Sioux Falls, S.D.) completed his round with a two-day total of 148 as he took 21st, while Devan Weelborg (Bryant, S.D.) tied for 26th with a total of 152 through two days.
DWU competes in the Jamestown Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Jamestown Country Club in Jamestown, N.D.
