DWU takes second at Jamestown Invitational
CARRINGTON, N.D. – For the second-consecutive meet, the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf team recorded a second-place finish, this time at the Jamestown Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the CrossRoads Golf Course in Carrington, N.D.
CARRINGTON, N.D. – For the second-consecutive meet, the Dakota Wesleyan University men's golf team recorded a second-place finish, this time at the Jamestown Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the CrossRoads Golf Course in Carrington, N.D.
The Tigers finished the opening day with a 301 and tallied a 294 on the second day for a total of 595 as a team in the meet.
Nolan Wiegel (Huron, S.D.) paced the team as he shot a 71 on day one and a 73 on day two as he tied for second overall. Cade Carpenter (Mitchell, S.D.) placed seventh after carding a two-day total of 147.
One spot behind Carpenter was Tony Hayes (Sioux Falls, S.D.) who tied for eighth with a 148 on the scorecard through two days.
Justice Morrison (Norris, S.D.) came in 22nd as he notched a 157, while Bennett Lundy (Aberdeen, S.D.) tied for 25th with a 159 on his scorecard.
DWU competes at the Mid-South Classic on Monday and Tuesday at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Wichita, Kan.
