Three Tiger golfers earn All-GPAC honors
MITCHELL, S.D. – After not playing the spring portion of their season, the Great Plains Athletic Conference named the All-Conference team members for men’s and women’s golf based off their performances in the fall qualifiers, the GPAC announced Wednesday.

Three members of the DWU golf teams were honored for their performances in the fall. Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) and Jayden Bormann (Parkston, S.D.) each finished with All-GPAC honors on the women's side, as Tony Hayes (Sioux Falls, S.D.) was named to the All-GPAC team for the men.
Hinker and Bormann helped lead the Tigers to a third-place finish at the GPAC Fall Qualifiers as they tied for 11th with a two-round total of 168.
Hinker had an impressive sophomore season with one of her most impressive rounds coming at the Buena Vista Invite. She tallied a 77 in the second round as she finished just one stroke shy of second place and four shots back from the winner. On the season, Hinker recorded an average stroke of 85.7, while her best round came at the Buena Vista Invite with her lowest round and best finish on the year.
For Bormann, her best round came at the GPAC Fall Qualifier as her highest placement. She also tallied another impressive performance at the Bellevue Fall Invite as she came in 25th after shooting a 190 through two days.
Hayes was a driving force for the Tigers on the men's side as he guided them to a fourth-place finish at the GPAC Fall Qualifier. He finished the fall rounds in 15th place after carding a 77 on day one and an 81 on day two. His best finish in 2019 came at the Jamestown Invitational where he tied for eighth after shooting a 148 through two days.
