Stofferahn breaks school mark as Rabenberg ties record at Concordia Twilight
SEWARD, Neb. – Sophomores Mikaela Stofferahn (Dell Rapids, S.D.) and Jared Rabenberg (Britton, S.D.) made history as the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the Concordia Twilight on Friday in Seward, Neb.

Stofferahn broke the school record in the discus with a throw of 143-11 feet, breaking the record of 143-8 set by Sara Ehresmann in 1996. Stofferahn placed ninth in the discus. Rabenberg tied the school record in the high jump as he finished with a jump of 6-8 feet, tying three other marks set in 1990, 1993 and 2008. He brought home a first-place finish with the jump.
In the women's long jump, Lindsey Hale (Yankton, S.D.) came in second after a jump of 17-3.5, while Alyssa Weidler (Sioux Falls, S.D.) took fourth with a leap of 16-10. In the women's triple jump, freshman Lydia Gerber (Canton, S.D.) came in sixth place with a mark of 35-6.
Tyson Jenkins (Clark, S.D.) led the way in the shot put after placing sixth with a throw of 53-2.75. Freshman Matthew Campbell (Gregory, S.D.) took 12th in the shot put after a toss of 50-5.5, while coming in sixth place in the discus with a mark of 163-08.
Stofferahn, Rabenberg, Jenkins and Campbell will compete at the NAIA National Championships from May 24-26 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
