Tigers Break Through for Win over Saints

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball snapped a seven-match losing streak with a four-game victory over nonconference opponent Presentation College Wednesday in Aberdeen, S.D.
The game scores were 25-22, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23. The win improves the record for DWU to 5-8 overall.
Three Tigers finished with double-digit kills, led by sophomore Lauren Tadlock (Rapid City, S.D.) with a team-high 15. Tadlock added 15 digs in the win, while sophomore Sammy Fluck (Becker, Minn.) and sophomore Mallory Jark (Warner, S.D.) added 11 and 10 kills, respectively.
Defensively, sophomore Taylor Spence (North Branch, Minn.) finished with a team-high 19 digs to go along with her nine kills. Junior Libero Maggie Stehly (Sioux Falls, S.D.) finished with 18 digs and sophomore setter Michelle Van Epps added a game-high 36 assists and 13 digs.
The Tigers will look to pick up their first win in Great Plains Athletic Conference play against Midland University at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Christen Family Athletic Center in Mitchell, S.D.
