Women’s golf takes second place at Lancer Invite
YANKTON, S.D. – In the first tournament of the season, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team started off hot as they finished in second place out of 13 teams with a two-day score of 678 Thursday and Friday at the Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D.

Leading the way was Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) as she took fifth after carding an 80 on the opening day and a 78 on day two. Joining her in the top-10 was Ashley Zimmer (Mitchell, S.D.) as she recorded a two-day total of 163. Zimmer tied for seventh after posting her lowest career score of 77 on the second day.
Not far behind was junior Jordan Glanzer (Howard, S.D.) who came in 21st with a 177 through two rounds. Her highlight of the tournament came on day two on hole 10 where she sank a chip shot from 85 yards out to record an eagle on a par 5.
Tying for 28th was Ronae Klein (Winner, S.D.) after tallying a 182 through two rounds. Finishing one stroke behind Klein was Brooke Ehlers (Worthing, S.D.) as she tied for 33rd.
DWU takes the course again at the OKC Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Oklahoma City, Okla.
