Tigers sit third after GPAC Fall Qualifier
DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. – After 36 holes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Fall Qualifier, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team is in third place with a two-day total of 720 on Monday and Tuesday at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, S.D.
DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. – After 36 holes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Golf Fall Qualifier, the Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team is in third place with a two-day total of 720 on Monday and Tuesday at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, S.D.
The Tigers sat in second place after the first day with a 361, just two strokes ahead of the University of Jamestown. On the second day DWU improved by two strokes to card a 359. However, the Jimmies tallied a 352 in the second round, improving by nine strokes sit in second place.
Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) is fourth and sits +17. She carded an 81 on the first day and an 82 on the second day to finish with a 163 through 36 holes.
Sitting in 17th is Ronae Klein (Winner, S.D.) with a 183. She is +37 after notching a 92 and 91 through two days. Ashley Zimmer (Mitchell, S.D.) is not far behind as she sits in 22nd place. After finishing with a 98 in the opening round, she improved by nine strokes to finish with a 187 on the week.
Kaitlyn Greenhoff (Dell Rapids, S.D.) is tied for 27th as she recorded a 90 on day one and 100 on day two. Jordan Glanzer (Howard, S.D.) is tied for 39th place to round out the Tigers after recording a 97 on the second day.
The final 36 holes will be played in the spring at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
