Tigers take fourth at GPAC Women’s Golf Championships
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa– After sitting in third following the fall portion of the Great Plains Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championships, the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team wrapped up the spring rounds on Friday and Saturday. DWU finished in fourth place following its two spring rounds at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa– After sitting in third following the fall portion of the Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, the Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team wrapped up the spring rounds on Friday and Saturday. DWU finished in fourth place following its two spring rounds at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Taking fourth place, the Tigers finished the spring portion of the championships with a total of 680 and a grand total of 1,400.
Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.) led the Blue and Gray and she took fifth with a total of 319. She totaled a 76 and an 80 in the third and fourth rounds, respectively to lead the Tigers.
The next Tiger on the leader board was Ronae Klein (Winner, S.D.) as she tied for 23rd. She carded a 91 in the third round and improved to finish with an 87 in her final round of the season.
Ashley Zimmer (Mitchell, S.D.) was not far behind as she finished in 25th place with a total of 362. She notched an 86 followed by an 89 in her spring rounds.
Next up was Jordan Glanzer (Howard, S.D.) as she took 27th in the championships. She improved in each of her rounds as she totaled for a 369 throughout the four rounds.
Other golfers for Dakota Wesleyan that did not finish include Kaitlyn Greenhoff (Dell Rapids, S.D.) as she competed in just the two fall rounds, while Erin Moncur (Miller, S.D.) only competed in the two spring rounds.
The 2020-21 season concludes for the Dakota Wesleyan women's golf team as they are set to return eight golfers for next season.
