Tiger men pick up second at Siouxland Invitational
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s golf team competed in the Siouxland Invitational, bringing home a second-place finish on Friday at the Ridge Golf Course in Sioux Center, Iowa.
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's golf team competed in the Siouxland Invitational, bringing home a second-place finish on Friday at the Ridge Golf Course in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Thomas Hogg (Aberdeen, S.D.) led the DWU golf team with a two-round total of 146. Russel Pick (Kimball, S.D.) shot a 75 in the first round and a 72 in the second, finishing with a 147.
Connor Preston (Aberdeen, S.D.), Coleman Caldwell (Chamberlain, S.D.) and Cal Wiese (Fedora, S.D.) tied for 13th place with a two-round total of 148. The Tigers shot a 584 as a team in the two-round event.
Northwestern College finished in first place with a team total of 581, just ahead of the Tigers.
DWU is back in action at the Blue River Golf Classic Sept. 20 in Lincoln, Neb.
