DWU men’s golf has strong showing at GPAC Fall Qualifier
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s golf team took part in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Fall Qualifier on Monday at the Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. The tournament was cancelled on Tuesday due to weather and will be made up in the spring.

Senior Michael Whitney (Brandon, S.D.) led the way for DWU in a tie for fifth place with a score of 73. Connor Preston (Aberdeen, S.D.) tied for 18th with a 77. Seniors Coleman Caldwell (Chamberlain, S.D.) and Thomas Hogg (Aberdeen, S.D.) finished in a tie for 21st-place. As a team, the Tigers posted a 306, good for fourth place.
Morningside College finished in first place out of 10 teams.
On the women's side, Kristin Sabers (Mitchell, S.D.) tied for sixth with a final score of 83. The Tiger women finished in 10th place out of 11 teams.
Both teams hit the road to battle Avila University on Monday and Tuesday at the Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Mo.
