Bray named GPAC Player of the Week
MITCHELL, S.D. – Junior Ashley Bray was named this week’s Great Plains Athletic Conference /Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s basketball Player of the Week, it was announce by the conference on Tuesday.
MITCHELL, S.D. – Junior Ashley Bray was named this week's Great Plains Athletic Conference /Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball Player of the Week, it was announce by the conference on Tuesday.
Bray was recognized for her efforts in victories over Dakota State University and Northwestern College last week. Against DSU, she scored 19 points and brought down four rebounds in the 76-59 win. The 6-foot-1 forward had a career night as the Tigers defeated Northwestern College 78-75. She scored 27 points and snatched eight defensive rebounds, both career highs for Bray. She also hit a career-high 10 field goal attempts and 3-pointers made with five. The Anoka, Minn., native currently leads the NAIA in free-throw percentage at 95 percent.
Bray and the Tigers hit the hardwood as they host GPAC rival, Briar Cliff University at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.
