MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's basketball team added another potent offensive threat in Gary, S.D., native Sydney Sisk.
Sisk joins the Tigers from Canby High School, where she was a four-year letterwinner for coach Jeff Thorson. She led her team to a 23-5 record, while earning all-area and all-conference accolades. In her career she tallied 974 total points, and was the team captain, while being named most improved, MVP and hardest worker.
"We are anxious for Sydney to join us in the fall as she will provide our team with depth at the guard position," Head Coach Jason Christensen said. "She is a great student and has a winning mentality."
Sisk also lettered six-times in track and cross country. She was named to the Distinctive Honor Roll and was a member of the student council and was the treasurer of the National Honor Society.
She is the daughter of Steve and Lori Sisk and plans to major in nursing at DWU.
