Tiger men take control early, top Oglala 110-73

The win gives the Tigers a perfect 2-0 start to the season, after topping Dakota State University by 27 points on the road on Saturday.
Against the Bravehearts, DWU played 17 players, giving the Tiger bench a chance to get some game-time experience. One of those role players, freshman Jason Spicer (Sioux Falls, S.D.), led the Tigers with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while adding five rebounds.
The DWU starting five played less than half the game, but senior forward Jalen Voss (Worthington, Minn.) still finished with 13 points and four rebounds. Senior guard Kris Menning (Corsica, S.D.) added 11 points after starting the first home game of his final year.
Mitchell natives Jade Miller and Tate Martin added 13 and 10 points, respectively, while Martin finished with a team-high five assists.
The Tigers shot 59 percent from the field for the game and made 39 percent of their 3-point attempts. DWU outrebounded Oglala 36-24, while taking 19 more shots than the Bravehearts.
The Tigers head to Brookings, S.D. to take on South Dakota State University in an exhibition starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Frost Arena.
