DWU MENS GOLF FINISH 6TH AND WOMEN FINSIHED 7TH AT HARDROCKER FALL INVITATIONAL
Rapid City, S.D. –
DWU golf teams traveled to Rapid City, S.D. to compete in the 2-day Hardrocker Fall Invitational. Hardrockers hosted this golf meet at the Golf Club at Red Rock which had nine women's teams and six men's teams competing. The Tigers women's golf team was led by Erin Moncur who finished 22nd and the men's team was led by Juan Florez who finished in 11th place.

How It Happened-
The Women's team looked to compete in this two-day meet against eight other schools. Erin Moncur led the team, finishing the meet with a 176 from two solid rounds, going 87 in the first round and 89 in the second. Ashton Austreim started day one off strong, finishing 11 over (83) but ran into some struggles in the second round, turning in her score card with a 94. Sara Sudenga continued her impressive start as a Tiger, as she finished round one with a 91 and round two with an 86. Shauna Radant had a tough first round, as she turned in her score card on day one with a 98 but turned it around day two to and finished with an 87. Kaylee Johnson was the last Tiger, as she finished with a two-day score of 187.
The Men's team were down one, but that didn't hinder any of their play, as they all finished with impressive scores. Juan Florez, in his first full meet of the year, finished with a 154. Florez finished day one with an 80 and came out of round two with a 74. Connor Calahan kept pace with Florez after round one as he finished with an 80 as well. Calahan added one more stroke in the second round to finish with 161 two-day score. Peyton Bettcher turned in his score card after round one with an 89 and as per usually, corrected his errors and cut eight strokes off in round two to finish at 170. Carson Van Beek kept up with Bettcher through round one, as he two finished with an 89. VanBeek turned in his round two scorecard with an 85 to round out the scoring for the Tigers.
