Aberdeen, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan softball allowed 18 hits against Valley City in game one of the day that shortened the game to five innings. Game two against Dickinson; the Tigers, both teams had six hits; but the Bluehawks left five runners stranded compared to the three DWU runners.

How It Happened
Game 1
- Valley City batted first in the opening game of the day.
- The Viking started off tossing up a one-run RBI after a double to left-center field.
- VCSU grabbed two more runs after another double to center field, then one more on a single.
- DWU allowed one run in the second inning after a double, allowing VCSU to extend the lead to 5-0.
- Valley City jumped on the Tigers in the third putting up five runs after two field clearing hits, a fielder's choice, and a single to left.
- After allowing one more run in the fourth, DWU tallied their first and only run of the game in the bottom of the fourth as McKinnely Mull sent one out of the park before falling to the Vikings 12-1 in five innings.
- Mull went 1-for-3 in game one with a home run, Meghan Daffern was 1-for-2 with a double.
Game 2
- Dakota Wesleyan was considered the visiting team of game two against Dickinson.
- The Tigers fell behind right away again allowing two runs in the bottom of the first after a pair of doubled to left field, taking the lead 2-0.
- Daffern stepped up in the top of the second with a one-run homer, cutting the DSU lead 2-1.
- Allison McElveny grabbed the game-tying RBI in the third inning after a single that allowed Alyssa Burke to score.
- The Tigers go-ahead run came off the bat of Mull in the bottom of the sixth inning as Burke scored the winning run on an error by the left fielder of Dickinson.
- In game two, DWU left three runners stranded as the team was 6-for-23.
- Burke led the way with two runs and went 2-for-3.
- Haley Linke was 0-for-2 but stayed patient and took a stroll to first for one walk.
- Daffern was 1-for-3 with one homerun.
