Tucson, Ariz. – Dakota Wesleyan University softball painfully lets two slide as the runs didn't fall their way. Against No. 19 ONU, the Tigers held in there, putting up ten hits while allowing 11.

How It Happened
Game One
- USF put two on the board in the bottom of the first inning on a double to center field and a single to left jumping, ahead 2-0 on the Tigers right away.
- DWU stranded one runner on third in Reagan Grossi in the second, but the Tigers quickly returned to the plate after a one-two-three bottom of the inning by the Fighting Saints.
- Dakota Wesleyan had a chance to tie the game in the top of the third before stranding two more runners on base.
- Tiger Pitching was solid the third, making quick work of the USF batters going three up and three down.
- The Fighting Saints garners two more runs in both; the fourth and fifth inning to extend their lead to 6-0.
- Tigers were unable to produce a run in the sixth and final inning of the game as they allowed three more in the bottom of the inning,
- Grossi was 1-of-3 with a double, and Alyssa Burke went 2-of-3.
- Tava Boone pitched five innings and allowed; 10 hits, six earned runs, and struck out one in the loss.
Game Two
- DWU was considered the home team for game two against No. 19 Olivet Nazarene.
- The Tigers saw three ONU batters in the top of the second inning after a one, two, three top of the second.
- Dakota Wesleyan had the best chance to put runs on the board in the bottom of the second, with Allison McElveny leading off and singling to center field right away.
- Lena McCoy also reached base on an error by the ONU shortstop for runners on first and second.
- Adriana Thomason pushed both runners into scoring position on a sac bunt, but the Tigers; could not bring them in, stranding two on base.
- ONU cracked the tie in the third inning on a single to right field for the 1-0 lead over DWU.
- After a scoreless fourth inning by DWU and ONU, Olivet Nazarene grabbed two more runs in the fifth after a double to right and an error by the Tigers shortstop.
- Dakota Wesleyan brought two runners in during the bottom of the sixth inning as Katelyn Farris scored on a double from Thomason.
- Aubrey Garbarek then found space in right field for a double to bring Thomason in to score as the Tigers now trailed by 3-2.
- Dakota Wesleyan allowed one run in the top of the seventh inning for Olivet Nazarene to lead 4-2 before stranding one runner on base in the bottom of the inning.
- Mull, Thomason, and Garbarek all recorded doubles in the game; as McElveny hit the only triple for the Tigers.
- Thomason batted 1-of-2 with a run and an RBI, Garbarek was 1-of-1 with an RBI
- Burke recorded two stolen bases in the game, as Meghan Daffern collected the loss in the circle after pitching seven complete innings and allowing 11 hits and three earned runs.
