Tigers take 3rd at Kaitlyn Erickson Invitational

The Tigers finished in third place carding a 359 in the one-round event, which was won by Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Reigning Great Plains Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week Lauren Fitts continued to lead the Tigers with a fourth-place finish. The senior from Brookings, S.D., carded an 82 finishing one stroke better than teammate April Barnett (Lakeview, Texas), who shot an 83 to tie for fifth.
The Tigers got a 93 from freshman Niki Nelson (Platte, S.D.) to tie for 23rd, while senior Taylor Anshutz (Gregory, S.D.) added a 98, tying for 28th.
DWU returns home for the GPAC Qualifier No. 4 Monday at Wild Oak Golf Course in Mitchell, S.D., where the Tigers seek to win an eighth straight conference title. Going into the final round, four teams are within four shots of the lead, with DWU one stroke back of Mount Marty College for first place.
