As October approached, the Tigers offense would take off. First the Tigers would win two games on the road at Northwestern and Doane and then come back to Mitchell and defeat Waldorf and Moun Marty. Midland forced the red-hot Tigers into a 0-0 draw on senior day. DWU would finish the season with two more road games looking to move up in the GPAC rankings but would drop to the eighth seed after losing to Jamestown and Morningside.
