MITCHELL, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer Head Coach Clayson Glasgow has found success recruiting the Sioux Falls area in his first full recruiting season as coach of the Tigers.
The former Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School coach has dipped into South Dakota's largest city once again to secure his latest signing. Roosevelt midfielder Abigail Behm signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Tigers, it was announced Tuesday.
Behm is the fifth member of the DWU recruiting class of 2015 and fourth from Sioux Falls, joining teammate Gemini Wesley who signed earlier this month.
"I had the privilege of coaching Abby at Roosevelt and she is definitely someone that you want on your team," Glasgow said. "I'm thrilled to have Abby join us this fall. I've nothing but high optimism for what she will accomplish both in the classroom and on the soccer field."
Behm was a part of two state championship teams at Roosevelt (2012, 2013), while scoring 17 goals in her four years with the team. She is also a member of the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club, a team that has won three state titles since 2010.
"I chose DWU because I fell in love with the school on my visit this past summer," Behm said. "At DWU I know I will be successful in my major, I have the opportunity to play collegiate soccer and I am close to home."
Behm plans to major in psychology at DWU. She is the daughter of Brian and Cindy Behm.
