Hoek adds Johnsen to Tiger roster
MITCHELL, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan University men’s head golf coach Tom Hoek welcomes his newest signee, Ramsey Johnsen from Aberdeen, S.D.
MITCHELL, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan University men's head golf coach Tom Hoek welcomes his newest signee, Ramsey Johnsen from Aberdeen, S.D.
As a senior, Ramsey placed eighth at the South Dakota Class 'A' State Golf Tournament with a stroke average of 78. He also took 11th as a junior at the state golf tournament.
He notched a second-place finish at the region tournament and helped his team solidify three team championships at the region tournament. He also helped his team to two state championships in Class 'A'.
In his career, he has placed in the top-five 10 different times. Ramsey was named Mr. Cavalier and hardest worker for his efforts on the course.
"Ramsey has been an integral part of a very successful golf program at Aberdeen Roncalli that has produced multiple state championships in the last four years," Hoek said. "Ramsey will add a great energy to our men's program backed by a strong work ethic and a willingness to better himself on and off the course."
Johnsen is the son of Rob and Lisa Johnsen.
