DWU SWEEPS LANCERS ON SENIOR NIGHT
Mitchell, S.D. – No. 15 Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball grabs the three-set win, closing out the 2021 regular-season home schedule. The Tigers held the Lancers to hitting only .009%, while DWU hit .243%.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mount Marty kept the first set close before their second timeout when they were down by six points 20-14.
- After the timeout, the Tigers allowed four more Lancer points before grabbing the last five needed to with the opening set 25-18.
- In the second set, DWU went on several large runs and quickly jumped ahead 12-3.
- As the Tigers continued to pile on the kills and points, DWU allowed the Lancer to earn a total of eight points in the second set.
- The third set ran like the previous one, as DWU piled on the points and kept MMU to a minimum.
- Late in the second set, the Lancers and Tigers went point-for-point, but DWU preserved their lead, grabbing the third set win 25-17 and the 3-0 match sweep.
- The Tigers tallied 39 kills on 107 attempts for a hitting percentage of .243.
- DWU notched 34 assists and 49 digs.
- Both the Tigers and the Lancers had nine blocks each and two ball-handling errors.
