Mitchell, S.D. – Wednesday morning, the NAIA announced the 2021 NAIA Women's Volleyball Postseason Coaches Top-25 poll. The Dakota Wesleyan University women's volleyball squad; closes out the year with a final ranking of 14, tied with Montana Tech. The Tigers completed the season, winning their first-ever NAIA National Tournament game with a 25-10 overall record. DWU garnered a total of 303 points in the final ranking of the season. Coach Lindsay Wilber graduates one senior in Jadie DeLange from the historic 2021 volleyball season as the Tigers look to make another national tournament push in the fall of 2022.
Poll Methodology
- The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and Unaffiliated Groups.
- The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
