TIGERS DROP NON-CONFERENCE MATCH AGAINST THE ROCKERS
Mitchell, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan men's soccer nets one late in the second half as the Tigers were outshot by 17 to 10 in the game.

How it Happened
South Dakota Mines were on attack immediately with shots on goals at the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th minutes. DWU would handle all shots by the starting goalkeeper, Federico Dusini. The Tigers would respond with a shot on goal at the 12thminute but was unfortunately handled by the starting goalkeeper for the Rockers.
Dakota Wesleyan and South Dakota Mines went back and forth with fouls and substitutions until the 33rd minute where the Tigers attempt with Garrett Hanna put a shot on goal that was again blocked by the Rockers goalkeeper.
As the Tigers begin the second half, South Dakota Mines attack first with their first three goals of the game at the 45th, 50th and 54th minutes for the quick 3-0 lead. The Tigers fight back with a corner kick by Lucas Paixao which gave Tristin Hendricks a shot on goal at the 58th minute but was once again saved by the South Dakota Mines.
After the Rockers score another goal at the 60th minute, Tristin Hendricks and the Tigers respond with two shots on goal as South Dakota Mines would continue to lead 4-0.
At the 68th minute, Garrett Douglas would substitute for Federico Dusini, where he will save a shot on goal at the 73rdminute. The Tigers push for a counterattack on goal on the 84th minute where Alejandro Varillas nets the lone goal cutting the Rockers lead to 3!
The Tigers will have another shot on goal by Logan Henke but resulted in another save by the Rockers.
