How It Happened
Game 1
Dakota Wesleyan held with the receiving votes team of Olivet Nazarene through the first four innings as it was a tied game at 2-2. After DWU allowed the top of the seventh inning to get away going down 5-2, the Tigers were unable to close the gap in the bottom of the inning as they fell by the same score. ONU posted nine hits, while DWU posted six, but the five Tiger errors to the one ONU error was the big difference as only one of the five Olivet Nazarene runs were earned. Katelyn Farris was hit with the loss as she tossed 6.2 innings and allowed eight hits and three walks, while striking out only one batter. ONU's pitching staff walked four DWU batters while striking out six.

- Alyssa Burke: 1-for-4, and one run
- McKenna Thomason: one run
Game 2
The Tigers kept the game close again in game two trialing by a pair of runs after three complete innings, but only grabbing a single run in the fifth then allowing one run in the sixth was enough for ONU to grab the win. DWU posted six hits in game two as well, allowing only eight ONU hits, but once again three errors against the Tigers was the deal breaker. Daffern tossed a complete game allowing eight hits, five runs, three earned, one walk, and striking out three batters. ONU didn't walk a single batter as they struck out three Tigers and allowed one home run from McKinnely Mull.
