MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team called off its road trip to Missouri this weekend, but added a trip to Kansas in its place.
The Tigers were scheduled to play three games against Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., Saturday and Sunday, but those games were junior varsity teams for MVC and, due to weather in the area, the two teams decided to cancel.
Instead, Dakota Wesleyan will travel to Salina, Kan., for three games against Kansas Wesleyan University. The Tigers and Coyotes will play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Saturday and a single game starting at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Tigers are 3-7 overall after going 0-6 in a trip to Kansas this past weekend. DWU went 3-1 to start the season in a pair of doubleheaders against Dickinson State. Kansas Wesleyan is 2-4.
