Christensen adds another to already stellar Class of 2016
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team continued to add to an impressive 2016 recruiting class with another signing on Thursday.
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's basketball team continued to add to an impressive 2016 recruiting class with another signing on Thursday.
Samantha Schuh has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Tigers next season, DWU Head Coach Jason Christensen announced Thursday, bringing the class to five members.
"We are excited that Samantha has decided to continue her education and basketball career at Dakota Wesleyan," Christensen said. "She will add another versatile player to our roster and will excel in the classroom as well."
The West Allis, Wis, native is in her final season at West Allis Nathan Hale High School, looking to close her career strong for the Huskies. The 5-foot-8 guard finished her junior season with 382 points, 19 blocks, 45 steals, 75 assists and 86 rebounds.
As a sophomore season she finished with 260 points, 19 blocks, 61 steals, 48 assists and 66 rebounds. As a junior she was named to the First Team GMC All-Conference and in her sophomore season was named Honorable Mention GMC All-Conference.
Schuh is a member of the National Honor Society and is the daughter of Chris and Susan Schuh. She plans to major in athletic training.
