MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's soccer team is picking up steam on the recruiting trail with its latest signing of the Class of 2016 for third-year Head Coach Clay Glasgow.
The Tigers have found depth at the goalkeeper position with the addition of Tomeka Anderson, who recently signed a National Letter of Intent to join DWU for the 2016 season. Anderson is the third member of the Class of 2016, all three joining the Tigers from Sioux Falls, S.D.
"We are truly excited that Tomeka decided to continue her education at Dakota Wesleyan University," Glasgow said. "Tomeka is right up there with some of the best caliber goalkeepers in the Midwest. She is definitely a great addition to Dakota Wesleyan and the women's soccer program."
The 5-foot-7 Anderson has been the anchor of a successful program at Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School, starting the last two seasons in net for the Rough Riders. She was named to the All-City Conference Team and the All-State Team.
In addition to her high school success, Anderson has been a member of the Dakota Alliance club team that has won the last five South Dakota State Cups titles. Anderson also competed in track and field for four years at Roosevelt.
Tomeka is the daughter of Thomas and Tammy Anderson.
